You have an incremental .df (data definition) file.  Perhaps someone has e-mailed it to you, or you just have it in a directory somewhere.  You need to load it into a database.  You could just load it with the Progress utilities, but it might be a good idea to look at the file first, just to make sure you know what it's doing to your database.

The first thing to do is configure Ed4W to handle .df files.

bulletCreate a flavor of the Progress language for .df files.
bulletSet up a Style Sheet for this language flavor.
bulletEdit the Language Words and Templates file for this language, or replace it with the one from TTTEd4W.zip.  (The file is lang-prs-00.xxx, replace xxx with your initials.)
bulletAssociate the .df file extension with Ed4W -- do this in the Style Sheet Setup dialog.

Next extract the Load-DF.p file from TTTEd4W.zip, and set up a build program in Ed4W like so (modify in the same way as for Check Syntax):

Now whenever you double-click on a .df file, in Windows Explorer or as an e-mail attachment, the file will be opened in Ed4W.  After you've inspected and approved the contents of the file, run the "Load DF" program and the following window appears:

Select the appropriate database (if you have more than one) and press the Load button.  If any errors occur during the load they will be displayed in notepad.

As with any build program, you can create an icon in a toolbar to run it with the instructions found on the Ed4W FAQ page.
